An Update of some Things to do in St Petersburg
Some of our favorite things to do in St. Petersburg Florida
Tuesdays: We love to visit the Little House Farmer's Market on 3295 62nd Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33702. This market is open every Tuesday from 9am until 2pm and runs from the month of June throughout the month of September. We love that the parking is always free. You can enjoy the open-air market year-round with a limited schedule outside of the months stated above. There are vendors that offer a large variety of produce (we love buying our fruits and veggies here!), seafood (always fresh and never frozen), Florida grass-fed beef (which is very hard to find anywhere else) and other locally owned and raised items! There is a large array of jewelry, beautiful garden plants, deliciously fresh flowers, and large assortment of products. So many products are available for purchase, almost over 60 vendors each will attend the market each and every week. To jazz up the place, you can almost always find some live music. They usually have this set up in two different locations. This is a awesome experience and is something we like to check out every couple of weeks. We stock up on produce and this is where we find almost all of our meats! The live music that is featured makes it a fun and entertaining day out for the entire family.
Coming up this week and continues through September 24, 2017:
We are so excited to check out this special exhibit of world-renowned Spanish sculptor Eduardo Chillida's. Eduardo's works are exhibited in steel, stone, paper, and alabaster. If you are into art, you are not going to want to miss this! As far as we understand it, the exhibit will begin on May 13 and will run all the way through September 24. You will find this exhibit at the one and only Dalí Museum located at 1 Dali Blvd, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. The show will present up to 65 of Eduardo Chilida's works including but not limited to 13 of his famous sculptures, numerous of his smaller gravitation's and drawings. We are most excited to view his large scale wall mural. Along with his work, the Dali will be hosting films and lectures as well as some programs that will be including some of St Pete and other local sculptures as well.
Shaggy is coming to St PETE!!
Can you believe the singer slash rapper from our college days, Shaggy, is coming to St Pete? Who would have thought it? I mean, I did not even realize he was still out and about touring and performing shows. You remember Shaggy from back in the day. It wasn't me, boomtastic. Apparently the concert will be a free show. Its going to be a free concert on September 23 at al lang stadium located at 230 1st St SE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. The concert will follow the Tampa Rowdies game against the Charlotte Independence and will be presented by the radio station Hot 101.5. The show is going to start at 10pm, the price of the rowdies ticket will include the concert and a donation of $2 for every ticket sold will be donated to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital.
